SP Purification-Day 5

Another day down today.  I just got back from the store with more vegetables.  It’s been a long time since I was a vegetarian, and I’m a bit out of practice making veggie dishes.  My afternoon smoothie mixture was much better today–pear, banana, and a dash of nutmeg.  I still get a strong urge for [...]

SP Purification-Day 4

I am drinking, or should I say chewing, my afternoon smoothie.  Orange, carrots, and banana; it’s not much of a smooth smoothie.  No headache today, which was nice.  Honestly though, I haven’t felt much of a difference from my pre-purification days yet.  No extra burst of energy, no glowing skin, nothing too exciting yet.  Maybe [...]

SP Purification-Day 3

Another hard day today.  Have had a headache all day.  Tired.  Craving everything–eggs, peanut butter, candy, a hamburger, yogurt, cheese.  Hope I feel better tomorrow.

SP Purification-Day 2

Today was harder.  I got hungry around 2:00 p.m. and had to fight off the urge to eat something sweet.  Even now, I would love a bite of Halloween candy!

Making Bread

I love baking with E! It’s one of my favorite things to do.  Here we are having a great time making bread from Elena Amsterdam’s The Gluten-Free Almond Flour Cookbook.

GF Betty Crocker

Imagine my surprise when I spotted this box of Gluten Free Betty Crocker cake mix in my small town grocery store.  I’d seen the BC GF products on Amazon, but really didn’t want to buy the four-box package in case it turned out disgusting I whipped up some cupcakes and was pleasantly surprised with the [...]

Who Knew?

Betty Crocker has gluten-free baking mixes. Now I just have to figure out where to buy them to try them out. Closest store to carry them is 35 miles away. At Amazon, I can buy a case of six.  Hmmmm…..not sure I want six boxes of brownie mixes; I’m bound to eat them all.
