			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Well, I made it, but just barely.  I fell apart on the last day since it was our family&#8217;s Thanksgiving meal in the evening.  Actually, falling apart really isn&#8217;t quite strong enough.  I totally bombed&#8211;cranberry sauce with sugar, corn pudding, pecan and pumpkin pie with whipped cream.  Ah, the dairy and sugar galore!  Today, I was just as bad&#8211;Halloween candy, ham, mashed potatoes, and other kinds of formerly forbidden foods.  </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Well, week 2 is drawing toward a close.  I never thought of myself as much of a carnivore, but I sure am glad to have a little bit of meat with a meal now. </p>
<p>I made a delicious ratatouille last night, and I did find that quite filling. I still really miss eggs. I made scrambled eggs for the kids and it was all that I could do to not take a bite.  </p>
<p>Another week to go&#8230;.not quite sure what I am going to do after that.</p>

<p>Started off the day in a bit of a rush, so I forgot to take my supplements.  I still must not be packing enough to eat for lunch and snacks because I was super hungry today.  There only so many carrots a girl can eat.</p>
<p>I had a delicious supper though&#8211;small piece of grilled chicken, fresh green beans, and grilled portobello mushrooms&#8211;yum.  Finished it off with a pear, banana, nutmeg smoothie.  It is a totally different mindset to think of the meal as vegetables with a side of meat rather than the protein being the centerpiece.</p>
<p>Feeling good this evening.  Not as tired as I usually am this time of day.  Could be the chiropractic adjustment today as well.</p>

I didn&#8217;t do the program to lose weight but thought it would be a nice side benefit.  I thought that cutting out all of the sweets I ate would have a certain weight loss effect.  I&#8217;m probably eating too many fruits.  </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I didn&#8217;t do so great yesterday.  I took the boys to a birthday party in the morning where they had lunch, and I had a few pieces of fruit.  We stopped by Applebees to say hi to Mom, and I was <em>really</em> hungry by then.  Mom gave me part of her salad, which had a little bit of cheese and chicken on it.  I didn&#8217;t have an opportunity to go to the store, and I had very few vegetables left.  I ended up eating butternut squash soup for supper and a shake later on in the evening&#8211;not much to go off for the day.</p>
<p>I did look through a lot of my cookbooks last night and have a plan for the upcoming week.</p>
<ul>
<li>eggplant pizza</li>
<li>chili corn salad</li>
<li>ratatouille</li>
<li>tomato/avocado salad</li>
<li>artichoke/rice salad</li>
</ul>
<div>with sides of venison, chicken, fish, rice, and lentils since on Day 11 I can add some animal protein to the mix.</div>

<p>I wish I could say that I have had major benefits from the program.  So far I really haven&#8217;t noticed much difference&#8211;maybe a little bit of more energy in the evenings.</p>

<p>I picked out a few veggie recipes to make this weekend which should help. The sugar cravings have been reduced,  but I&#8217;m still looking for a snack around 2:30. It was carrots today.  Not terribly satisfying I have to say.</p>
<p>Also, I would strongly recommend not opening up the capsules and putting the contents in water to drink.  I tried that on the second day and regretted it.  My throat felt like it was being scalded. The pain did subside with several drinks of water, but I will NOT be doing that again.</p>
