Tofu with picante sauce served with rice and vegetable
Ham with sweet potatoes

Well, the weekly menus fell apart a bit over the holidays, but hopefully we are getting back on track now. Sorta…If I will ever get more than 2-3 hours of sleep at one time again, I may not know what to do with myself.
Chili with Cornbread
I tried this new gluten-free cornbread mix from Bob’s Red [...]

I can’t believe it has been almost three weeks since I last posted. The combination of a baby who doesn’t sleep much, going back to work, and holiday preparation have severely limited my “spare” time.
I have this idea to publish a family cookbook, so Mom brought over some of Granny’s old books, including Rare Recipes [...]

Here’s what we had:
Sliced honey ham
Rolls
Macaroni salad
Deviled eggs
Spinach/strawberry salad
Chips, dip, salsa
Cake and ice cream

I read a lot of food blogs, which all have wonderful recipes and ideas. Several of them also have weekly menu plans.
Try as I might, I see these menus more as inspiration rather than reality at this time in my life. So, I thought it would be fun to start posting our family’s weekly menus.
To [...]

If I won the lottery, I would hire a chef. Without a doubt, this personal service splurge would come before a housekeeper, a landscaper, or an interior designer.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have delicious, healthy meals cooked every night for you?
