I read a lot of food blogs, which all have wonderful recipes and ideas. Several of them also have weekly menu plans.
Try as I might, I see these menus more as inspiration rather than reality at this time in my life. So, I thought it would be fun to start posting our family’s weekly menus.
To make it onto our menu, meals must be:
- relatively healthy
- ready in 30 minutes or less (unless it is a crockpot meal)
- comprised of basic ingredients for the most part
- simple–meaning I can cook the meal, play with a four-year-old, and pacify the baby all at the same time
In no particular order:
- Steak with mashed potatoes and vegetable
- Sweet and sour chicken with rice and stir fry veggies
- Meatloaf with sweet potatoes
- Spaghetti
- Apricot/picante tofu with rice and vegetable

I love spaghetti. All pasta really is good since it has not fat. I have it on Sundays and during the week sometimes.
